Prevention

The most efficient way to lighten and prevent dark spots is by using a physical sunblock, one that contains zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. No topical treatment or in-office procedure can help remove or reduce pigmentation and brown spots with UV protection.

Treating dark spots and *other types of hyperpigmentation are much more complicated than most people realize. It takes a synergy of ingredients and being consistent with your home care regime along with receiving professional treatments targeting hyperpigmentation.

*Age spots are small, flat dark patches on the skin They appear most often on sun-exposed areas, such as the face, hands, shoulders, and arms, as a result of overexposure to ultraviolet (UV) light.

A good routine for hyperpigmentation correction must include sun protection; even if, you have dark skin.

A vitamin A ( retinol) serum promotes skin cell turnover, a dark spot corrector or inhibitor serum to target pigment production and a vitamin C serum, a powerful antioxidant that will protect your skin against free damage, in addition to be a natural ingredient that reduce melanin production.

You'll need a night moisturizer to maintain skin's supple appearance and protect skin's surface moisture. It can also have ingredients to help reduce or inhibit hyperpigmentation.
